Honestly the multiplayer is the best i've ever experienced. (disclosure: I never played halo 2 online but I've played the rest of them) As for worth buying an Xbox One, I think it depends on your situation. I'm not wild about buying a system just for a game, but if you haven't gone next gen or theres other stuff you've wanted... go for it. The single player is meh but thats me personally.
