RDHL HOLIDAY GIFT EXCHANGE BONANZA 1.0

Hey all,

Something a few of us discussed when this league was created was doing a gift exchange!

I volunteered to organize things, so here's how this will work:

Let me know by 5:00PM PST on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11TH that you'd like to participate by sending me a private message on here with the following information:


Name (First and last name, please)

Age (If you'd rather not say, just specify whether you are over 21 or not, or give a range: "Mid-20s" or what have you)

Gender (I think we're all of the male variety here, but just in case).

Clothing Size/Hat Size (If you don't put this, no sweat- just know that means no clothes for you).

Mailing Address (Alternatively, if you're paranoid about people sending you gifts, but still want to participate, message me and we'll see what we can work out)

Interests: This is important. Things like what teams you like (hockey or otherwise), your favorite players, your hobbies, musical interests, gaming setup and other interests, etc. That way people can have good info about what to get you, and you can have good info about what to get them! It's ok if this is like a paragraph- I'm just going to pass it along to whoever you're paired with and probably will take it into account when pairing people (although the main pairing mechanism will proximity and shipping preferences).

Will you ship to US? (Yes/No)

Will you ship to Canada? (Yes/No)

Will you ship outside of US/Canada? (Yes/No)

Will you be a rematcher? (Yes/No) (I doubt this will happen, but on the off chance that somebody cheats and doesn't send a gift without saying anything after signing up, you'll be contacted about sending a second gift to the person who missed out due to skullduggery. Also, WE WILL KNOW WHO IT IS, SO DON'T DO THAT. It's perfectly fine to pull out before the 11th if you sign up and then can't swing it- That's totally ok. Signing up and then not sending a gift without saying anything is lame as hell and a pox of bad shooting/save percentages and eternal day-to-day injuries that cause constant game-time decisions will be placed upon your team.)

I will then match people based on a combination of proximity, shipping preferences, interests, and perhaps if you're playing each other in the league any time soon

This is meant to be friendly, so while joke gifts (sending a Canadiens fan a shirtless Brad Marchand poster) are funny, please don't make that the only component of your gift

Everyone has different financial limitations- There's no dollar minimum or maximum- it's the thought that counts. It'd be really cool if everyone participated in some fashion. We have 20 teams, so that would work really well. I'll make it so you aren't sending a gift to the same person you receive it from. Let's try to make sure we ship by about a week after the end of the signup period (December 18th/19th depending on timezone)- I'll make sure all of the matches go out on the night of Friday December 11th PST, so you'll have the full week.

This should be really fun. If you have any questions, reply to this thread (unless you'd rather them be private, in which case PM me) so that we don't have to answer the same questions over and over again- I'll reply in thread.
