I hope everyones summer went well and are looking forward to another great hockey season. In the offseason, I actually decided to do something I have debating for the past couple of seasons: created a hockey blog. I'm not a professional writer by ANY means BUT with that said, I'd love some feedback from ya'll.
Lemme know what you think and yeah..hope you guys enjoy!

I've had a read through a bunch of your articles. I think you've got a bunch of interesting content up so far, so good job with that! One thing to perhaps consider would be to focus the blog on something slightly more specific. Your posts so far seem to cover a range of hockey related topics, so you may struggle to gain an audience among other hockey blogs with such a generalist approach. You mentioned that you're not a professional writer, and there were admittedly a few structural kinks that caught my eye, but those are the types of things that will improve as you write more. So far I think you've done a good job, so keep it up!
Appreciate it! I've been trying to find just various topics to cover in the offseason but may just stick to the Central once the season starts since I live in St. Louis.
What kind of kinks were you noticing? I want to do my best writing these

Narrowing down on a the central conference would probably be a good idea to start. You may even end up finding yourself gravitating towards a specific topic in your posts, which could further narrow your focus. Once you've built up some more material, you could probably reach out to some more established blogs to write guest posts, and increase readership to your own site that way.
With regards to the writing style, I think it may be a tad too conversational. This extract, for example, seems a bit choppy when I'm reading it to myself:
With this, an NHL Expansion Draft. Which oddly enough now feels like a version of The Hunger Games, NHL style. You’re welcome for that bit of marketing help, Bettman.
It's not a big deal, but just something I personally noticed. I think conversational is good, but I'd probably focus foremost on making sure the sentences 'flow' well together. Just an observation!
Hey I appreciate it. A lot of my writing is done at work during my down time since I don't have a lot outside of work. I'll try and take the advice and go from there. Appreciate if!
