While we're waiting for the actual draft to commence, I thought I'd throw out a light-hearted question. Which team do you think will be the first to select a player currently playing on their NHL team?

Does anyone think that the Islanders will throw a curve ball and select John Tavares with the 1st overall pick? Will Carey Price slip all the way down to the Montreal Canadiens with their 19th pick?

My money is on Stamkos slipping slightly, and going to Tampa at #5.

What are your thoughts?

Good shouts! Malkin could be a lock, although that would be dependent on Pittsburgh's new owner not relocating their team prior to the draft.

I really hope we see some curve balls thrown. Goalie depth will be hard to come by - Pavs may be in the running!
