That looks like a pretty sweet build. I would add more RAM if possible. Otherwise, I wish I could afford this right now. I pasted a guide of popular parts you can mix and match below. Not in a super big rush, I would also consider just getting everything and holding out on the graphics card for a few months.

As for AMD, just seemed like the best one at the time, but we saw it does not have SLI support, so looking into other options

Gotcha...check out the intel schedule (tick, tock) i'm not sure which one they are on or when the new ones will get released. I put a 960 on the build, but if able, upgrade to the 970. Phyix is amazing and hairworks looks great when it doesn't slow down the fps on games. lol.
