I voted no on this. Back in the days when enforcers were part of the game it use to make sense. Reward for a good fight and pumping up your team. But now, enforcers are rare. Now it would feel like getting points for taking a stupid penalty like tripping or high sticking. We shouldn't reward that. Unless its a negative points category.
I voted no as well unless its a negative. I agree completely with the Kings, in the current environment it simply doesn't make sense... last thing I want to do is reward Dustin Byfuglien.
I would prefer we have it. I mean if we dont give weight to more secondary categories then essentially this is a scoring only league, hence why PIM, hits, blocked shots, etc. warrant consideration. I think it's important to have diverse scoring.
In a smaller league, I'd vote no all day long. However, I feel like this would give some sort of value to the "support players", like those last two forwards you pick solely because they're the only two available. If we're forced to have guys like Rinaldo, who you can't expect many points out of, to fill out our roster, I want them to have at the very least SOME sort of value. Maybe make it a small amount, just give me something! It's not like if we make PIMS positive points then actual NHL players are going to be encouraged to take more penalties...
But even above that, I hate the idea of negative points. Just my personal preference.
